- The church building caved in on Tuesday, killing the resident pastor, Ezekiel Sunday Ahmed, and left many others injured
- Pastor Enenche said that the church was always following due diligence in everything they do
The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, on Tuesday, visited the scene of the collapsed church building in Northbank, Makurdi, Benue State.
Recall that the church building caved in around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, killing the resident pastor, Ezekiel Sunday Ahmed, and left many others injured.
Speaking during his visit to the site of the ill-fated building, Enenche lamented the death of the pastor and the injuries sustained by other members of the church.
He described it as a sad situation, especially the loss of ‘a dedicated servant of God.’
He however admonished members of the church who were at the scene of the incident to appreciate God for the limitations of the incident.
He said, “There is something to thank God under earth if you look critically, it would have been worse if it happened during the eight hours liberty service or all night last Friday.”
He thanked God that the incident didn’t happen during Sunday service when the auditorium was filled to capacity.
Earlier, the Governor of Benue State, Fr Hyacinth Alia, slammed the leadership of the church for erecting what he described as a substandard structure.
Speaking when he visited the site, the governor expressed disappointment that he did not meet any of the leaders of the church on ground.
