According to a statement from Senator Barau’s Media Office, the scholarship program began in August with 628 Bayero University Kano (BUK) students.

Thanks to Senator Barau, each student will receive N20,000, and every Kano North student studying in Nigeria will benefit from this scheme.” “We started in August with BUK students and are now in YUMSUK for the second phase, he explained.

He urged the recipients to take advantage of the gesture and work hard to succeed academically.

One of the recipients, Ummussalam Haruna Yusuf, a level 300 student, thanked the Senate Deputy President for the gesture.
