2024 Hajj

The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Agency has set an initial deposit of N2.5 million to be paid for the 2024 Hajj.

Dr Yusuf Arrigasiyyu, the agency’s Executive Secretary, stated this at a press conference on Wednesday in Kaduna.

He stated that intending pilgrims would be expected to pay up to N4.5 million for the trip to Saudi Arabia by December 31.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, according to Arrigasiyyu, will announce the actual pilgrimage fare.

He stated that all intending pilgrims must physically present themselves at registration centres throughout the state, as the agency will not register anyone by proxy.

The executive secretary urged all Hajj registration officers in the state’s local government areas to be thorough during registration.

Edo Board Asks Intending Pilgrims To Deposit N4.5m

Sheik Ibrahim Oyarekhu, Chairman of the Edo State Pilgrim Welfare Board, has urged prospective pilgrims to begin depositing their 2024 Hajj fare to avoid missing the payment deadline.

Sheik Ibrahim, who delivered the charge over the phone, stated that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced an N4.5 million deposit for prospective pilgrims for the 2024 exercise.

“We urge all intending pilgrims in Edo State to make haste about their Hajj payment because the Saudi government has come up with a new law which takes effect from this 2024 Hajj operation”.

“According to the law, the Hajj operation will end on April 29, 2024.” After that date, no one would be accommodated.”

According to him, the Saudi government wants the Hajj operation to be completed in 50 days to Arafat, and they want to know the total number of pilgrims for the Hajj so that they can make all necessary preparations for a trouble-free Hajj.
