She underscored that this forum will enhance their understanding and empower them to become exemplary figures within their respective communities

Dr. Mrs. Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, the First Lady of Lagos State, encouraged women and young individuals to actively engage in the upcoming National Women’s Conference, highlighting its purpose to positively influence societal outcomes.

She delivered this message during a road walk/awareness campaign in Epe Division as part of the pre-conference activities for the 23rd National Women’s Conference scheduled from October 17 to 19, 2023. Sanwo-Olu stressed the significance of this year’s conference, themed “Unleash your Potentials,” as a platform uniting women from diverse backgrounds to learn and exchange knowledge about pressing issues affecting women in society.

She underscored that this forum will enhance their understanding and empower them to become exemplary figures within their respective communities.

She said, “We have various distinguished facilitators and personalities coming to talk to our women on issues such as empowerment, food security, education, family, lifestyle, cybersecurity, utilising technology, among other critical topics”.

She encouraged the youth to maximise the virtual platform as it is more convenient for them to access technology in a bid to gain from the wealth of knowledge proposed for the conference.

According to her, the conference is an avenue to enlighten women and youths on the various happenings and current trends such as food security, eco-friendliness, and cyber security; amongst others.
