The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has reported approximately 62 cases of alleged mysterious disappearances of male genitalia within the territory.
Speaking to the press at the command’s headquarters on Friday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna G Garba, shared this information.
The Commissioner disclosed that out of the 62 reported cases, 51 were found to be false alarms. He mentioned that the individuals who raised these alarms have been apprehended and are facing legal charges.
He urged the residents of the territory to collaborate with security forces to help maintain a crime-free city.
He said, “The first case of male organ disappearance was first recorded in Gwagwalada on the 21/09/2023. It has spread all over FCT where by as of today we had a total of sixty-two (62) cases reported.
“Fifty-one (51) suspects charged to court for given false information and inciting public disturbance. To this end, I want to reiterate my commitment and willingness to always work with you (residents of FCT) to defeat crime in all its forms in the Federal Capital Territory”.
