On Tuesday, an airstrike allegedly launched by Israel struck Al-Ahi Baptist Hospital in Gaza, killing at least 500 people.

Palestinian health officials said the hospital was overcrowded with injured patients and others seeking refuge.

Several hospitals in Gaza City have become safe havens for hundreds of Palestinians hoping to avoid bombardment.

Since Hamas marched into Gaza on October 7, Israel has launched enormous assaults, killing over 1000 people and kidnapping over 200.

The Middle Eastern country had announced Operation Iron Sword and promised to demolish Gaza.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, an Israeli military spokesperson, said there were still no specifics on the hospital deaths.

“We’ll get the details and keep the public updated.” I’m not sure whether it was an Israeli air strike.”

An IDF source later blamed Hamas for the event, stating the militants had erroneously targeted the hospital.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau termed the attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital abhorrent and illegal.

After days of futile attempts to break the siege, US officials sought to persuade Israel to allow supplies to desperate residents, humanitarian groups, and hospitals.

Supplies Running Out In Gaza — UN Agency

On Tuesday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) warned that supplies in the Gaza Strip are running low.

“This is why it’s critical to get supplies into Gaza right now,” said Juliette Touma, UNRWA’s Director of Communications.

She said that UNRWA has been unable to transport supplies into Gaza for the past ten days.

“The clock is ticking,” said Touma. Hamas ruled this following the unprecedented Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, and the response to Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
