- Says appointment take immediate effect
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Muhammed Abu Ibrahim to serve as the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF).
This was contained in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Thursday in Abuja.
The president urged the new appointee to remove all barriers to efficient access to provisional funding in the sector for stakeholders nationwide who would contribute to the Renewed Hope Agenda’s mandate on agriculture.
He added that such stakeholders would achieve the mandate of attaining the vision of complete self-sufficiency in local food production and eventual surplus export.
By this directive of the president, the above-mentioned appointment takes immediate effect.
On the other end, Tinubu has directed the withdrawal of the nomination of Engr. Imam Kashim Imam as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
According to a statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday evening, the President’s withdrawal of 24-year-old Imam’s nomination was with immediate effect.
“All other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA are not affected by this directive,” the presidential media aide stated.
WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the nomination of Imam alongside new management members of FERMA was announced last week, a development that attracted mixed reactions.
