- The EFCC, notorious for carrying out operations and raids during midnight, has come under heavy criticism from members of the public over night operations.
- The commission assures the public that it will not renege on its commitment to the rule of law and its exercise of its mandate.
Mr. Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has ordered that sting operations at night be discontinued throughout all of the EFCC’s commands in accordance with the recently revised protocols regarding the arrest and release of suspects.

Already, many of the suspects duly profiled by the Command have been released, while profiling of suspects yet un-released will be completed, without further delay.
