President Bola Tinubu has assured foreign Ambassadors in Nigeria of his administration’s commitment to maintaining open lines of communication and cooperation. The focus will be on advancing mutually beneficial economic opportunities across sectors. President Tinubu gave this assurance while receiving the Letters of Credence from four Ambassadors:
- Ambassador of Angola to Nigeria, Jose Bamoquine Zau.
- Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Nigeria, Pieter Leenknegt.
- Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Nigeria, Sevin Baera.
- Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Nigeria, Albert Castelar.
During separate meetings with these Ambassadors, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of strong diplomatic relations and expressed his readiness to engage with foreign missions. He stated that the foreign ministry and his Chief of Staff’s office would always be available to interact with foreign missions and address any matters of concern.
The President assured the Ambassadors of his administration’s open-door policy and willingness to address any issues brought to his attention. He congratulated President Joao Lourenco of Angola on his re-election, referred to Belgium as an active participant in Nigeria’s maritime industry, and discussed energy transition and economic reform with the Norwegian Ambassador.
The Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela wanted to deepen economic partnerships between the two oil-producing nations across multiple sectors.
President Tinubu wished the Ambassadors success in their duty tours and affirmed his commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations for mutual benefit.
