The Managing Director of Jos Electricity Distribution Plc, Engr Abdu Bello Mohammed, has announced the company’s target to generate N5 billion in revenue for the month of December, building on their achievement of N4 billion in the previous month.
Mohammed made this declaration at the corporate headquarters during the celebration of reaching the N4 billion milestone in October 2023. He commended the staff for their outstanding performance in attaining this goal.
Expressing his appreciation, Mohammed conveyed his admiration for the staff’s unwavering support since he assumed the role of MD. He said, “Honestly speaking, I lack the words to express my appreciation to you for all your support to me; from day one of my assumption of office. You have been very wonderful. I can’t thank you enough.”
He also highlighted that the achievement was particularly meaningful as it coincided with his one-year anniversary as MD/CEO. He stated, “Lucky enough, the month of October marked my one year in office as MD/CEO, and this achievement was recorded.”

We Spent N500m On Toilets – Jigawa Commissioner
The Jigawa state government has disclosed that it has allocated N500 million to improve sanitation facilities, specifically latrines, in schools, hospitals, markets, and motor parks throughout the state.
Ibrahim Hannungiwa, the Commissioner for Water Resources, made this announcement in Dutse, the state capital. He also highlighted the state’s commitment to maintaining its ‘Open Defecation Free’ (ODF) status and surpassing the national ODF target by 2025.
Hannungiwa attributed this accomplishment to extensive efforts in implementing effective policies and programs in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and the United Nations Children’s Fund.
He further revealed the establishment of a committee tasked with devising strategies to ensure the sustainability of the state’s ODF status and the complete eradication of open defecation.
