- The Senate has adopted a unified report from both chambers’ sittings on Senator Adeola’s 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill.
- The bill was swiftly enacted, allowing readings to be scaled in both upper and lower chambers, as lawmakers deemed it beneficial to the country.
The N2.17 trillion supplementary budget for 2023 has been signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.
On Wednesday, Tinubu gave his approval to the measure for supplementary appropriations.
At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Tinubu performed the signing.
Earlier, the Senate has passed the N2.18 trillion 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill forwarded to it for consideration by President Bola Tinubu.
As requested by Tinubu in the letter read in the Senate during plenary on Tuesday, the request was given expeditious consideration.
Similarly, on Thursday, the Red Chamber expressly approved the budget after the Chairman, Senate Committee of Appropriations; Solomon Adeola laid the report at the chamber.
