Fanwo stated, “Our chieftains arrested there were not involved in any activities that would jeopardize the peace of the state and should not have been subjected to such treatment.”
Regarding the killing of Khadijat, Fanwo, who also serves as the state commissioner for information, expressed sadness that the security agencies had not provided updates on their progress in apprehending the individuals responsible for the murder.
He said, “Khadijat’s only wrongdoing was that she wore the face cap and T-shirt of the APC, and the thugs of an opposition party killed her. We call on the security agencies to identify her killers and bring them to justice.”
