The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has provided assurances to residents of Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states regarding their security during the upcoming governorship elections.
He emphatically cautioned political actors against instigating any form of violence in these states, emphasizing severe consequences for anyone attempting to disrupt the electoral process in any of the three states.

The statement read, ” The National Security Adviser assures residents of Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states of security preparedness during the off-cycle elections coming on Saturday.
“He warns against violence by political actors and charges security agencies to adhere to a professional code of ethics during the conduct of the exercise.”
The NSA assured all that in line with the directive of President Bola Tinubu, security agencies have made adequate preparations to ensure safe, secure, and transparent elections.
