The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs) has refuted claims that it disbursed N141.1 million to an Abuja-based restaurant shortly before the end of the Buhari administration. Dismissing the reports as misleading, false, and an intentional effort to tarnish the office’s reputation, the OSSAP-SDGs emphasized its commitment to transparency.

A statement from the Head of Communications, Rotimi Ajayi, highlighted the OSSAP-SDGs’ transparency in various projects, including the construction of the Skills Acquisition Centre and a block of classrooms in Lagos State, as well as similar initiatives nationwide.

According to the statement, the company in question, involved in the bid process, is legitimately registered with valid incorporation and tax documents from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Ajayi clarified that the allegation of it being solely a restaurant is baseless and unfounded, as the project was executed by a qualified team with expertise in construction and engineering.

The statement further stressed that the structures were built in adherence to specifications and industry standards, supported by photographic evidence with GPS coordinates. The OSSAP-SDGs remains resolute in defending its integrity and upholding transparency in its project implementations.
