The All Progressives Congress’s (APC) Governor Hope Uzodimma has been proclaimed the victor of the Imo State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In each and every Local Government Area in the State, Uzodimma triumphed over his rivals.
Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP), Uzodimma, and Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) fought fiercely for the election.
Uzodimma polled a total of 540,308, while Anyanwu scored 71,503 and Achonu garnered 64,081.
