Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has officially rehabilitated the N3.8 billion Yauri township roads. During the launch on Saturday, Governor Idris also announced the forthcoming initiation of the rehabilitation of Warra township roads in Ngaski Local Government Area, with an estimated cost of N1.8 billion.
Governor Idris emphasized the necessity of addressing the state’s infrastructure needs, stating, “Warra roads are the only ones not rehabilitated, and my government found it necessary to take action.”
The Yauri township roads slated for construction and rehabilitation include Dawanau junction, market road about – Tashar Garkuwa, Garkan Dudu- Liberia junction, and police station – Union Bank.
Governor Idris affirmed that road rehabilitation and construction would be an ongoing process under his administration. He disclosed that the next phase would involve rehabilitating Zuru Emirate roads, with negotiations underway to complete Koko/Dabai and Malando- Warra- Kainji roads in collaboration with the federal government.
The governor also announced plans to rehabilitate roads in Argungu Emirate, expressing gratitude to the emir and the people for their unwavering support.
The Commissioner for Works and Transport, Abdullahi Umar-Faruk, highlighted that road rehabilitation aligns with the governance principles of Governor Idris’ administration, emphasizing the commitment to improving infrastructure for the benefit of the state.
