- The panel affirmed the judgement of the tribunal that upheld the victory of Sanwo-Olu as the elected governor of Lagos, in the March 11 election.
- It held that the appellants failed to prove their allegations of forgery and non-qualification against Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor, Abdulazeez Adediran, filed a lawsuit against Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s election, but the court of appeal in Lagos dismissed it.
The three-member panel headed by Yargata Nimpar unanimously rejected the grounds for appeal presented by Adediran, also referred to as Jandor, on Wednesday.
The panel confirmed the tribunal’s ruling, which had declared Sanwo-Olu the winner of the March 11 election and declared him the governor of Lagos.
