Speaking at the University of Ibadan’s 75th Foundation Day celebration, conferment of honorary degrees, and admission to higher degrees ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Tinubu, represented by Minister of Education Professor Tahir Mamman, underscored the administration’s awareness of education’s pivotal role.

He highlighted forthcoming innovations aimed at revamping the entire sector, including curriculum revisions across all levels, to empower citizens with comprehensive education enriched by digital, industrial, and evolution-driven sciences, technologies, and innovations.

President Tinubu assured Nigerians that the Federal Government remained committed to the welfare of all students and would see that no student is deprived of education on account of poverty, saying that explained why the students’ loan scheme was to be re-introduced.

The Visitor rejoiced with the UI for maintaining its leading position in the country as well as in Africa, charging the institution not to rest on its oars but to continue to forge ahead.

He congratulated the 722 Ph.D. graduates and urged them to always adapt to change because the world is in a state of constant change, and society is waiting for their contributions to development.
