The Minister of State for Steel Development, Mr. Uba Ahmadu, emphasized that tapping into the numerous unexplored mineral resources presents an opportunity to drive industrial growth in Nigeria. He reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to harnessing these untapped resources while ensuring ecological balance for sustainable development.
During a familiarization visit to the National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency in Kaduna, Ahmadu highlighted that pursuing steel raw materials is an industrial endeavour and a fundamental aspect of national progress. He stressed the importance of responsible utilization and environmentally conscious practices in extracting and utilising these resources.
Ahmadu expressed optimism about the potential prosperity within the rich ores and unexplored terrains in Kaduna. He acknowledged the agency’s dedication to exploration, innovation, and sustainable mining practices, emphasizing that it is key to unlocking these treasures for current and future generations.
