Vice-President Kashim Shettima has affirmed the commitment of the Tinubu administration to bolster the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy. Speaking at the Art, Culture, and Creative Economy Roundtable in Abuja, Shettima emphasized the government’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and prosperous future for the nation’s creative sector.
During the event organized by the Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy in collaboration with Prembly and Leadway Pensure, Shettima highlighted the need to amplify the voices of creative minds, empower talents, and harness the diverse cultural potential within Nigeria. The Vice-President stated that the roundtable aimed to foster an environment conducive to creativity, innovation, and inclusivity.
Shettima, discussing ‘Nigeria’s Creative Roadmap to the Future,’ reiterated the Tinubu administration’s commitment to transform the Nigerian creative industry into a vital segment of the global economy. Referring to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the architect of Nigeria’s entertainment industry, Shettima acknowledged the industry’s significance as a critical segment of the global economy.
Apologizing to members of the creative and entertainment sector for past neglect by administrations, Shettima assured stakeholders of the current administration’s determination to provide increased support and maximize the potential of Nigeria’s creative economy.
