Hundreds of demonstrators, primarily Nasarawa women, stormed the Abuja Appeal Court in anticipation of the ruling on the state governorship election.

As the matter is being judged, the women were also observed marching to the location while brandishing banners and wearing black clothing.
Political heavyweights such as Mike Omeri, the former director-general of the National Orientation Agency, Labaran Maku, the former communication minister, Abdullahi Adamu, the former national chairman of the APC, and Umaru Al-Makura, the former governor of Nasarawa, are reportedly present in court.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the March election but David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headed for the tribunal.
According to INEC, Sule polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, who secured 283,016 votes.
In a split decision on October 2, the tribunal nullified Sule’s election and upheld Ombugadu as the winner.
