- Osimhen sustained the injury in the first half of the Super Eagles friendly with Saudi Arabia in Portugal
Victor Osimhen has returned to training at Napoli after recovering from a thigh injury he suffered during the international break in October.
Osimhen sustained the injury in the first half of the Super Eagles friendly with Saudi Arabia in Portugal.
The injury saw him miss six games for Napoli, where they managed three wins, two draws and one loss.
Also, he did not feature for the Super Eagles in their doubleheader 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Without Osimhen, the Eagles could only score one goal in each of the games.
The draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe saw Jose Peseiro’s men place third with two points in Group C.
His return to training will be good news for both Napoli and the Eagles, who will feature at next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
He has scored six goals in eight appearances in the Italian League this season.
