- The 24-year-old has been linked to top Premier League clubs in England, including Chelsea and Arsenal.
- The forward returned to action for Napoli last weekend after missing six games due to the injury he sustained on international duty in October.
Victor Osimhen is set to depart Serie A winner Napoli and has indicated that he will not be extending his contract, according to reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The present agreement with Osimhen will end in June 2025.
The Nigerian international was in talks with Napoli in the summer about a new two-year contract, but things went south between him and the team after the Partenopei made fun of him on TikTok after missing a penalty in a league game against Bologna in September.
Napoli later released a statement on the incident but didn’t apologise to Osimhen.
“For Victor Osimhen, it’s essential to clarify, as I have consistently mentioned since September, there’s no agreement between Napoli and Osimhen for a new contract,” Romano said on the Kick streaming platform.
“He’s only contracted till June 2025, and my sources are quite clear Osimhen is not inclined to sign a new deal at Napoli.
“That’s the current status as of today. Football is unpredictable, but the current stance appears firm—Osimhen won’t be renewing there.”
