An auto crash at Arinkinkin area of Ogbomoso in Nigeria south-western state of Oyo on Friday claimed the lives of three monarchs.
The late traditional rulers are from Oriire local government area in the Ogbomoso geo-political zone of the State.
The dead monarchs include Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all from Oriire local government.
The three monarchs met their end en route to the funeral of a relative of one of their colleagues in the zone, Oloolo of Oolo Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi, DAILY POST quoted a source familiar with the development as saying.
The accident reportedly occurred when their vehicle rammed into an oncoming truck killing them on the spot.
A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso confirmed the incident, saying their remains have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
Four people were said to be involved in the accident, and the fourth person who sustained injury was being treated at the hospital.
