Chairman Rep. Abiodun Akinlade made this commitment during the committee’s inaugural meeting held on Thursday in Abuja

The House Committee on Aviation Technology has pledged to enforce measures aimed at reducing flight accidents in Nigeria.

Chairman Rep. Abiodun Akinlade made this commitment during the committee’s inaugural meeting held on Thursday in Abuja.

Expressing deep concern about the nation’s recurrent air crashes, Akinlade assured that the committee is dedicated to utilizing all available resources and strategies to minimize these incidents.

“We will with the support of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), the regulatory authorities, organize a high-tech town hall meeting to look into the causes of the air crashes.

“We will also look at other safety abnormalities at our airports. Our airspace must be safe for all,” he said.

He promised to meet the expectations of the House, Nigerians, and stakeholders.

The lawmaker stated that the committee would work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that Nigeria develops a highly innovative and productive aviation industry.
