JUST-IN: Tinubu Arrives Borno For Chief Of Army Staff Conference

The departure took place around 10:35am.


President Bola Tinubu who left Abuja earlier on Monday has arrived at Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State to attend Army annual conference.

Earlier today, the president left the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The departure took place around 10:35am.

This will be President Tinubu’s first visit to the North-Eastern region of the country since taking the oath of office.

As the special guest of honour, he would attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference.

NTA reports that the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu announced the details of the opening ceremony.

A speech to the soldiers of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, a tour of the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and the ceremonial cornerstone-laying for Headquarters 7 Division are all scheduled for the occasion.

These activities will be carried out by the special guest of honour.
