The operation, in collaboration with security agencies, uncovered clandestine production setups engaged in counterfeiting popular brands of wines, soft drinks, and other consumables.

The seized facilities were found to be operating in unhygienic conditions, utilizing questionable ingredients, recycled bottles, and cloned packaging materials, all of which raised serious concerns about the safety and authenticity of the products being manufactured.

As part of the operation, NAFDAC destroyed a substantial quantity of the confiscated fake and substandard products estimated at a significant monetary value.
