The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an increase in the registration fee for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the year 2024.
As per the official release, the revised registration costs are as follows: N7,700 for UTME registration if a mock exam is included, and N6,200 for UTME registration without the mock exam.
Before this adjustment, the JAMB application form cost N5,700 without a practice exam and N6,700 with a practice exam.
The board also informed that foreign candidates can obtain application materials for $30.
Additionally, JAMB provided details about the registration period for the sale of Direct Entry application documents in 2024, along with changes to UTME registration.
The statement mentioned, “This is to notify all potential 2024 UTME/DE candidates that the sale of application materials will begin on Monday, January 15, 2024, and that profile creation for registration has officially begun.”
The sale of Direct Entry application documents is scheduled to commence on February 28, 2024, and conclude on March 28, 2024.
JAMB assured that the ongoing process of generating registration profile codes is in progress. Detailed guidelines on generating profile codes will be provided at a later date, leading up to the commencement of registration on January 15, 2024.
