  • This is aimed at cushioning the economic hardship faced by Nigerians.
  • Train rides will be absolutely free beginning on 21 December and ending on 4 January 2024.

For interstate road users, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared waivers on transport prices for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

According to Tinubu, the federal government will pay 50% of the interstate road traveler’s transportation costs during Yuletide.

The president further stated that train travel will be provided at no cost starting on December 21 and running through January 4, 2024.

Within Nigeria reports that the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale disclosed this known in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
