- He told Ganduje to inform Tinubu of the grim realities of the citizenry and dire straits that Nigerians are in
A former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Kayode Fayemi has implored the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, not to present a shiny and beautiful picture of Nigerians’ reality to President Bola Tinubu.
He told Ganduje to inform Tinubu of the grim realities of the citizenry and dire straits that Nigerians are in.
Fayemi said Ganduje should give Tinubu feedback from the communities so the president won’t rely on things he’s hearing from the “villa where he’s locked up.”
The former governor spoke on Tuesday at a book presentation: ‘APC & Transition Politics’, authored by Salihu Lukman, an APC chieftain.
He charged the ruling party to fulfill its manifesto and not to be “a spectator” in policy making.
The former governor stated that sycophants and praise singers have made it difficult for those at the Presidential Villa to know the true feelings of Nigerians.
According to Fayemi: “I am happy that our chairman is here. This is the party that should not be a spectator in policy making.
“This party should be the one to project the manifesto of the party.
“This party should be the one to tell Mr. President that this is the feedback from the communities and constituencies out there, not what he is hearing in the villa where he is locked up.”
