The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s Kaduna State Command reported that it had taken 1,458.709 kg of illegal drugs in December.
Shuaibu Omale, the press officer for the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna, made this announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
According to Omale, among the illegal narcotics found were methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, cannabis, tramadol, and other psychoactive substances.
In a similar spirit, the spokesperson reported that 103 suspects—who included drug dealers, traffickers, and users—had been taken into custody by the command.
Olame went on to say that the command gas conducted a number of sensitization campaigns throughout the state to educate the public about the dangers of drug usage and illegal trafficking.
He said, “It is paramount to note that 26 illicit drug joints were also dismantled while the command secured sux convictions and arraigned 24 suspects with the month of December 2023.”
