The Northern Senator’s Forum has strongly condemned the recent mass killings in Plateau State, labelling the act as “brutal, indefensible, and devoid of reason, staining our shared humanity.” In the attacks on 23 villages in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi local government areas, at least 145 individuals lost their lives to bandit assaults, with numerous injuries and property damage reported.

In a statement issued by their spokesperson, Senator Suleiman Kawu Sumaila, the Northern senators have called for a thorough investigation into the attacks and the apprehension of the perpetrators to face the full force of the law.
