On Wednesday, Aiyedatiwa took the oath of office as the state’s sixth civilian governor, succeeding the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
At 5:14 p.m. on Aiyedatiwa, Chief Judge of the State Justice Olusegun Odusola administered the oath of office.
Omojuwa Olusegun, the governor’s deputy chief of staff, announced the appointment’s immediate implementation in a press release that he personally signed on Wednesday.
