- The resignation took effect from Thursday, December 28.
- Recall that Akeredolu died after protracted illness
Raimi Olayiwola Aminu, the Ondo state commissioner for housing, lands, and infrastructure, has resigned from his position.
This occurs less than a day after Oluwarotimi Akeredolu passed away and Lucky Aiyedatiwa took office as the new governor of Ondo State.
Aminu announced his resignation effective Thursday, December 28 in a letter to Princess Oladunni Odu, Secretary to the State Government.
Given that his “dear boss” and leader, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, joined the Saint Triumphant, Aminu claimed his choice was motivated by conscience.
“I sincerely thank our dear Arakunrin and the good people of the State for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet as Senior Special Assistant on Lands & Infrastructure, Special Adviser on Lands, Works and Infrastructure and Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing.”
