The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, is now in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, WITHIN NIGERIA has learnt.
After over 200 people were killed on Christmas eve in fifteen rural towns in the state in well-planned attacks by suspected armed herders, the IGP arrived in Jos on Friday afternoon.
The governor and other important stakeholders are anticipated to meet with the IGP.
Additionally, the IGP has mandated the immediate relocation of AIG Zone 4 to Plateau State, as well as the deployment of tactical troops and equipment.
