Ogun technician electrocuted while fixing faulty refrigerator

One Sanjo Adeosun, a technician, has died in the line of duty in Ogun state, according to the police.

Adeosun was said to have been electrocuted while repairing a refrigerator on Power Street in the Abule-Iroko area of the State.

The owner of the freezer, Amos Alexander, who contracted the technician, reported the incident to the police.

Alexander told the Sango-Ota Police Division that the technician died during the process of repairing the freezer.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to newsmen on Monday.

Adeosun’s body had been deposited at the Ifo General Hospital for an autopsy, Punch quoted her as saying.

She said, “When the incident was brought to the attention of our men, they rushed to the scene and took the man to the hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctor on duty. The deceased victim’s body has been deposited at the hospital morgue. His family has been contacted about the incident.”

It’s gathered that Adeosun was the second technician to die of an electrocution in less than two weeks after the last incident in the state.
