Recall that president Bola Tinubu suspended Edu on Monday after the allegation of malfeasance and siphoning of public funds sparked outrage among Nigerians.
The minister was accused of paying the humanitarian fund into a private bank account. She had since denied any wrongdoing insisting that she followed due process in handling the affairs of the checkered ministry
The N585 million was meant for payment of grants to vulnerable groups in Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Cross River and Ogun states.
Edu is the first minister to be suspended from office since members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) were sworn in in August last year.
She was reportedly denied access to president Tinubu by security operatives when she went to seek audience with him yesterday.
