President Bola Tinubu on Monday inaugurated the redesigned Sam Mbakwe International Airport road.

The redesigned Airport road, named after him, ‘Bola Tinubu Drive,’ was upgraded from a dualised two-lane to a four-lane highway fitted with street lights from Owerri-Aba Road to the Airport.

The president is also expected to launch the new Twin Tollgate.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Tinubu departed Abuja for Owerri to participate in the second-term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The inauguration was expected to attract political and business heavyweights.

Earlier, the President on Monday observed its annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, honoring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and veterans.The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led the solemn event, which was marked by the dignified laying of wreaths at the military cenotaph in Abuja.

Also at the event were prominent figures, including Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Tajudeen Abbas; Senate President Senator Godswill Apkabio; Minister of State for Defence Honourable Bello Matawalle; Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike; and Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru.

The pictures captured the significant moments of the ceremony, showcasing the leaders as they paid their respects by laying wreaths.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, and the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun were also pictured in a solemn act of remembrance.
