Kidnappers have detained a retired school principal sent to deliver ransom to them in Kaduna state.
The man had volunteered to dispatch the ransom to secure the release of a victim in Birnin Gwari LGA of the State.
Former federal lawmaker, who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the red chamber, Senator Shehu Sani, disclosed the development in a post on his verified X handle on Tuesday.
According to him, the man whose identity was not revealed has been in the den of the kidnappers for at least three days.
The post reads, “A retired School principal who volunteered to deliver ransom to kidnappers in order to secure the release of a victim has also been held by the kidnappers in Birnin Gwari LG, Kaduna state.
“He has been in captivity for three days now; the abductors made calls to his family for his ransom”.
