  • The Presidency dismisses speculation about a cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu, labeling the reports as unfounded
  • Special Adviser Ajuri Ngelale affirms that the President is well-informed about his administration and ongoing investigations must conclude before any changes

Amidst speculations circulating about a potential cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu, the Presidency has categorically dismissed the reports, labelling them as mere speculation. Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, clarified the administration’s stance in an interview with the National Television Authority on Sunday.

Ngelale emphasized that the President is fully informed about activities within his administration and closely monitors the performance of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs). Hadiza Bala Usman, the special adviser on policy and coordination, is crucial in overseeing these aspects.

“The President is fully aware of all factors related to what people are doing and not doing within his administration,” Ngelale affirmed. He added that ongoing investigations into alleged fraud in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and its Social Investment Programmes must reach conclusive ends before any potential cabinet reshuffling is considered.

This statement comes as a clear assertion from the Presidency, aiming to dispel the uncertainties surrounding the rumoured cabinet changes. The ongoing investigations emphasise the administration’s commitment to addressing issues before contemplating organizational adjustments.

Subsidy scheme used by few to loot Nigeria’s commonwealth – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu said subsidy on petrol didn’t benefit those it was designed to cater for.

He stated that a handful of people cornered Nigeria’s resources through the subsidy regime in the last four decades.

Tinubu lamented that Nigerians are suffering the pains of the loot.

Tinubu spoke at the second-term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State in Owerri on Monday.

The President said he was not disconnected to the concerns of citizens, assuring them that the challenges brought on by the very essential reforms are being addressed.

He also disclosed that his administration will give more attention to education and healthcare, as well as provide the enablements for industrialisation and investments in consonance with his vision of creating an economically stable and prosperous country.
