Gunmen terrorising Nigeria’s south west state of Ekiti have struck again
The assailants on Monday ambushed a school bus in Emure Local Government of the State and abducted unspecified number of schoolchildren.
The name of the affected school is yet to be ascertained as details of the incident remain foggy.
It’s gathered that the incident happened at the Eporo-Ekiti boundary when the pupils were being transported in their school bus.

The number of students whisked away by the kidnappers’ is yet to be established and the police have not issued a statement on the incident.
The incident followed the killing of two traditional rulers in the state; the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola were killed in an ambush by armed men while returning from a meeting. The third traditional ruler, the Alara of Ara –Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba escaped the attack.
Ekiti state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, who condemned the dastardly act, ordered security operatives in the state to fish out the killers of the two traditional rulers and assured the people of the state that the government would spare nothing to get to the root of the matter.
