In a shocking turn of events, tragedy unfolded in the riverain community of Kabeama, Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, over the weekend. A man identified as Tony stands accused of beheading his girlfriend, Maxuel Ebibraladei, with whom he shared parenthood.

While details surrounding the incident remain unclear, it has been reported that the horrifying act took place around 3 am on Saturday. Neighbors, discovering Maxuel’s severed head at dawn, were the first to raise the alarm.

Residents acted swiftly, apprehending Tony before he could escape, and promptly handed him over to the police. The deceased, Maxuel Ebibraladei, now rests in the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, while Tony awaits legal proceedings in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
