Lagos: Court remands 50-year-old security guard for defiling minor

Erisco Cybercrime Case

One Mohammed Sanni has been remanded in a correctional centre for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl in Lagos State.

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court ordered the remand of the 50-year-old security guard on Thursday.

According to the prosecutor, Insp Lucky Ihieme, Sanni committed the offence on Jan. 8 at Obidiegwu St., Iyana School, Iba, Lagos.

He told the court that Sanni invited the victim to eat “suya” (meat kebab) in an uncompleted building where he took advantage of the girl and defiled her.

Ihieme said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 137 and 261 Criminal Laws of Lagos State

The Presiding Chief Magistrate, Mr O.A Layinka, ordered that the case file should be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

He rejected Sanni’s plea and adjourned the case until March 28, pending the DPP’s advice.
