- Sanusi blamed the immediate past government of Buhari for its badly managed economic policies
Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi has stated that the foundation for the unprecedented economic woes that Nigerians are grappling with today was laid by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
He said that it would unfair for him to criticise President Bola Tinubu for the parlous and troubling state of the nation.
Speaking during a virtual religious event on Sunday, Sanusi blamed the immediate past government of Buhari for its badly managed economic policies.
The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said that Buhari’s administration ignored his advice on how to take Nigeria out of its economic woes.
He said Nigerians expecting him to speak about the country’s economic hardship deliberately wanted him to oppose the president.
