Gov Fintiri alleges plans to loot warehouses in Adamawa

Criminal elements will not succeed – Fintiri

Adamawa State

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has raised an alarm over alleged plans by ‘unscrupulous conflict entrepreneurs’ in the state to unleash mayhem and compromise peace.

Fintiri, through a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, said credible intelligence indicated that some sponsored youth are gearing up to break into government and private warehouses.

Fintiri said his government will deal decisively with any undesirable elements trying selfishly to sabotage peaceful coexistence in the state.

“I will not fold my arms and watch anyone or any group of people trying to sabotage the government,” he said.

Stating that certain people are not utilising legal channels to address their concerns but are instead planning to engage in acts of sabotage, the governor asserted: “If criminals believe that Adamawa State is a place for them to operate, be warned that you will find this state too hot to stay.”

The governor added: “We are aware that some in our society are giving support to these criminal elements to upturn the peace in our state. They will not succeed. We will make sure that they don’t succeed.”
