Parents of children hawking during school hours instead of studying in the classroom will face the full wrath of the law, the Benue State government has said.
The Director General of the Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency (BEQA), Dr Terna Francis, disclosed that parents subjecting their kids to labour during school hours will be apprehended and prosecuted.
He made the disclosure when he was featured on a live NTA Makurdi programme tagged: “BLISS”.

He noted that in the Makurdi metropolis children who should be in school were often seen hawking all manner of wares during school hours
