Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has lauded Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for his efforts in fostering reconciliation between Christians and Muslims in the state.
As a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fani-Kayode commended Governor Sani for extending hope and support to Southern Kaduna Christians who have faced persecution in the past.
In late 2023, Governor Sani reaffirmed his commitment to rectifying past wrongs in the state and promoting genuine reconciliation with the people of Southern Kaduna. This pledge was made during a message conveyed to the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association Pastor’s Congress at the Throneroom Trust Ministry in Kafanchan.
Addressing the gathering through his Senior Special Assistant on Religious Affairs, Christian Matters, who also serves as the Chairman of the Kaduna Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. Ishaya Adamu Jangado, Governor Sani acknowledged past mistakes and expressed his administration’s readiness to rectify them for the overall progress and development of the state.
He urged the Christian community to support the current administration across all levels to facilitate the desired development.
Governor Sani’s participation in a Christmas program in Southern Kaduna further underscored his commitment to fostering unity and inclusivity in the state.
In his commendation via his social media account, Fani-Kayode praised Governor Uba Sani for his courage in promoting peace and unity among religious communities. He urged other political leaders to emulate Governor Sani’s example, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing peace, unity, and harmony in Nigeria.
Fani-Kayode concluded by emphasizing the significance of national unity and the duty of leaders to enhance peaceful coexistence between adherents of different faiths in the country.
