Pot Of Soup Theft

A fashion designer, Adua Fatogun, finds himself behind bars after accusations of pilfering a pot of soup. The incident occurred on October 12, 2023, around 9 am, at Ifeleye Street, Ayeyemi, Ondo town.

Fatogun, aged 19, faces additional charges of stealing items belonging to Felix Ogunbolade, Adeqoga Aboodun, and Akinsete Adurayemi, amounting to N311,100.

Despite pleading not guilty to the four-count charges of burglary and theft, Fatogun’s fate now rests in the hands of the legal system.

The police prosecutor, Bernard Olagbayi, cited violations of Section 383 and subsequent punishments under Section 412(1), 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State.

With the need to prepare trial witnesses, Olagbayi recommended a postponement of proceedings.

Magistrate O. A. Omofolarin ordered Fatogun’s remand in prison custody until the trial resumes on February 19, 2024.
