House of Representatives member Dennis Idahosa will be the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Edo State governorship election.
Idahosa emerged APC’s standard-bearer for the September 21, 2024 gubernatorial poll after winning its primary election on Saturday.
Idahosa was declared winner by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, the chairman of the APC Edo Governorship Primary Election Committee.
Uzodinma said that Idahosa scored 40,4483 votes during the Saturday election in Benin to defeat eight other aspirants in the race.
The likes of Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and Chief Lucky Imasuen had withdrawn from the primary election
