The former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, attended the state Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Saturday to address actions taken during his tenure.
The current governor, Ahmed Sokoto, established the commission to investigate Tambuwal’s administration. However, Tambuwal and his executive members were unable to testify, being instructed to return on a later date, the specifics of which will be communicated.
Speaking on his social media handle, the Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District said, ” Earlier today, I appeared before the Justice Mu’azu Abdulkadir Pindiga-led Sokoto State Judicial Commission of Inquiry Instituted by my successor, H.E, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.
“I was accompanied by my legal team and some officials of my administration including the ex-SSG, Muhammad Mainasara Ahmad, ex-Chief of Staff, Muktar Magori, ex-Attorney General, and Commissioner of Justice, Dr. Sulaiman Usman, SAN, among others.
